SHM welcomes new governing board chair

SHM is pleased to welcome Dr Marc van der Valk as the new chair of the SHM governing board. Dr van der Valk succeeds Dr Frank Kroon, whose term had come to an end. At the last board meeting, Prof. Kroon was thanked by SHM director Peter Reiss and fellow board members for his work as board chair, and presented with a gift in recognition of his contribution. 

The board also thanked departing board member Prof. Karien Stronks for her committment to SHM's board during her term and welcomed new board member, Prof. Kitty Jager, who represents the Academic Medical Center - Unversity of Amsterdam.
