New publication: Compliance with laboratory monitoring guidelines in outpatient HIV care

Dutch HIV care guidelines on laboratory testing are generally considered useful by physicians, but there’s room for improvement in their interpretation and implementation, according to a qualitative study just published in AIDS Care. Under the supervision of SHM’s Sonia Boender, and in partnership with the Amsterdam Institute for Global Health and Development, MSc student Dieuwke Toxopeus identified a number of factors that influence guideline compliance and makes suggestions for possible changes that may further facilitate compliance.
